Finance Career Foundry is the service and trading name used for this website and is the contact point for data-protection matters. Before a paid engagement is formed, the written service confirmation will identify the legal operator and provide the applicable business contact details. Privacy enquiries can be sent to [email protected].
Information we may receive
Depending on how you contact or engage us, this may include your name, email address, current and target roles, career objectives, CV, employment history, qualifications, interview information, booking details, service correspondence and payment or invoice records. Do not send identification numbers, home addresses, health information, confidential employer data, unpublished financial information or documents you are not authorised to share.
How and why we use information
- To answer enquiries and take steps you request before a possible contract.
- To deliver an agreed service, manage appointments and communicate with you.
- To maintain necessary business, transaction and compliance records.
- To protect clients, the service and website against misuse or security threats.
- To send optional marketing only where consent or another lawful basis permits it.
Depending on the circumstances, the lawful basis may be steps taken at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Website tools
The Career Finder, career diagnostic, interview practice and drafting tools run in your browser. They do not transmit your answers or drafts to us or to an AI service. Notes are cleared when you leave or reload the page. The application tracker saves entries in this browser only if you enable “Save my tracker in this browser”. You can turn off saving to remove the saved copy, clear all entries, or download a CSV. Saved entries remain until you delete them or clear browser data. The tracker is not synced between devices. Our tools do not directly accept CV file uploads. The structured enquiry form prepares an email in your own email application; the website does not receive or retain the form entries. We receive the information only if you review and send that email.
Service providers and external links
Cloudflare provides website hosting, security and delivery. Calendly provides appointment scheduling. Zoom or another agreed video-meeting provider may be used for calls. Email and calendar providers process communications and bookings. Each provider acts under its own terms and privacy information. No payment or direct file-upload provider is currently integrated into this website; this notice will be updated before either facility is enabled.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we will rely on the provider's contractual safeguards, recognised adequacy arrangements or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long information is kept
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: normally up to 12 months.
- CVs and working service documents: normally deleted within 90 days after the engagement finishes, unless you ask for earlier deletion or continued retention is required.
- Appointment and routine service correspondence: normally up to 24 months.
- Contracts, invoices and transaction records: up to six years, or longer where applicable law requires it.
Information may be kept longer where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Security
Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used to limit unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No email, internet transmission or third-party platform can be guaranteed completely secure. Use sanitised documents wherever possible.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing, receive portable information, and withdraw consent. Rights may be limited where information must be retained for legal or contractual reasons. Requests should be sent to the contact address above and will be handled within the applicable legal timeframe.
Complaints
